- Board member, Urban Glass & GlassRoots: statewide advisory board member for the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (with a focus on entrepreneurship for artists).
- Chair, steering committee for the Arts & Business Council's National Arts Marketing Project.
- Established speaker on many subjects related to the arts. Presently teaching Leadership & Team Building at Pratt Institute; has taught at New York University School of Continuing & Professional Studies, Marketing & Management Institute, and Fashion Institute of Technology. Workshops and seminars for American Woman's Economic Development Corporation, Arts & Business Council of New York, Support Center for Nonprofit Management, Center for Nonprofit Resources, New Jersey Small Business Development Centers.

EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED TRAINING:

- Founder and President, ArtIsIn, LLC: business development services for the arts
- District Sales Manager, Waterford Crystal Inc, New York, NY 1985-95. In this position, managed retail sales volume of up to $24 million and averaged annual sales increases of 24% through superior account management, territory expansion and timely new product introductions.

RECENT & REPRESENTATIVE CONSULTING WORK:
- June 2002-January 2003: Queens County Overall Economic Development Corporation, a government agency serving the borough of Queens NY. Training in women & minority business, entrepreneurial development.
- Current (4th year): Coordinator for Womens Annual Conference; "Challenge, Change & Growth" to be held in January 2003. Develop all workshops, speakers, conference timeline; research grants; target audience and market to focus on the cultural & economic sectors of Queens.
- 2001-2002 : Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, New Jersey, a county government organization serving the county in all areas of arts, culture and education that also administers local regrants for the New Jersey Council on the Arts. Consultant work was a focus on developing Bergen County as a premiere destination for the arts. Developed entire marketing plan including branding & identity working with all stakeholders (arts, cultural, business, education, churches, social organizations,etc.).
- Summer-Fall, 2002: Somerset County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, New Jersey, a county agency focusing on cultural and historic affairs and a regrant agency of the New Jersey State Arts Council. Focus on development of a countywide arts, cultural tourism & recreation guide & directory. Facilitation of workshops to develop the vision and mission for this project; develop format & contents; develop sponsorship and buy-in.
- Current: The Classical Theatre of Harlem, resident theater company of the Harlem School of the Arts, New York, NY with a focus on presenting Shakespeare, other classic and equity theater. Consultancy includes a 5-year business plan focusing on acquiring property and targeted toward immediate growth, board development and funding opportunities; marketing, branding & identity; assessment of financial operations.
- Spring, 2001: Jamaica Center for the Arts & Learning, Queens NY is a community organization providing arts education with after school programs classes and college prep courses; theater and visual art presentations; computer & web training & development. Consultancy focused on a marketing, branding & identity paln and its strategic impact; assessment, planning & development of new logo, tagline & brochure.
- Spring, 2000: Laguardia Performing Arts Center, Queens NY in a cultural collaboration that included Cultural Collaborative Jamaica, Jamaica Center for the Arts & Learning and Langston Hughes Community Library & Cultural Center worked with the consultant to develop a collaborative marketing plan for these 4 organizations in southeastern Queens. The plan included a focus on audience development in an ethnically diverse borough; assess individual group and collaborative needs (through focus group & town hall meetings and surveys) and develop various levels of collaboration among the groups.

FEE:
$125 per hour, but also based on size of project, needs, etc. Each project is examined and determined on an individual basis.

The Alliance provides leadership and vision, and delivers services, resources and tools that strengthen cultural organizations. The Alliance informs the field on statewide and national issues affecting the arts and assists local arts agencies in building community support.
