I also run an annual national seminar in Chicago called "Focus on Cultural Tourism;" write a monthly column, "Arts Agenda" for Travel Weekly; and was founding editor/writer for Travel Arts Partnership, 2003 - 2006.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
In the early days of the New York State Council on the Arts, I did some 20 or more consultancies for them with for such groups as: Paul Taylor Dance Company; Periwinkle Productions, and Scarsdale Studio Workshop. Have also done hundreds of consultancies throughout the country. Have written eight books on arts and hundreds of magazine articles and am a published playwright and composer. Because of current demands, my consultant work focuses mainly on cultural tourism, although I will take on short term work in other areas.

EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED TRAINING:
- Member, American Society of Journalists and Authors; Dramatists Guild; Authors' Guild and Music Critics Association.
- Past board member and officer for many nonprofit cultural organizations.
- BA and MA, University of Wisconsin.

The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations has a 29-year history as New York s service association for community based arts and cultural organizations. The Alliance provides leadership and vision, and delivers services, resources and tools that strengthen cultural organizations. The Alliance informs the field on statewide and national issues affecting the arts and assists local arts agencies in building community support.
