QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- 1991-1994: first professional director of Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, Cazenovia NY.
- 1966-1991: various titles/jobs with Cultural Resources Council in Syracuse NY. Work included: feasibility study and use survey for a proposed performing arts center; international search for architect; preliminary and final design coordination; construction coordination, organization of opening night including commission of orchestra & chorus piece. Also, facility management of theater complex for Onondaga County; community program development; supervision of marketing & audience development. I also secured funds for programs and established a $1.8 million endowment fund.
-Founder, International Showcase of Performing Arts for Young People; founding trustee and Chair, International Association of Auditorium Managers Foundation; USA Representative at the 1991 Scottish International Children's Theatre Festival and the John F. Kennedy Center Bilateral Conference for the Arts and Cultural Development, 1983.

EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED TRAINING:
- BA and Graduate studies, Syracuse University
- Purdue University; course in Marketing and Promoting the Arts
- Harvard University, Institute in Arts Administration

RECENT & REPRESENTATINGS CONSULTING WORK:
1. Greene County Council on the Arts, Catskill NY 1999-current. All aspects of development and marketing the arts for the Catskill Point project, a 22-week seasonal arts, crafts and farmers' market.

2. NYS Department of Environmental Conservation for the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, Annandale, NY 1997-98. Design of art gallery and visitors' center with a wildlife educational exhibit

3. Schine Theater, Auburn NY. 1991. Feasibility study for historic restoration and adaptive reuse plan in teamwork with architect. Community survey and uses analysis; theater design & programming; budgets & management systems

4. Syracuse Sky Chiefs & Metropolitan Development Association of Syracuse, 1988. Feasibility study for new baseball stadium.

5. City of Albany NY,1985. Worked with architectural firm Einhorn & Yaffe to conduct a program and use survey for the Palace Theater in Albany. Work included management, budget & programming study.

FEE:
Consulting rate: $300-500 per day plus expenses. Contracted services: $2,000-10,000 plus expenses. Retainer for specific long-term services, $3,000/month.

The Alliance provides leadership and vision, and delivers services, resources and tools that strengthen cultural organizations. The Alliance informs the field on statewide and national issues affecting the arts and assists local arts agencies in building community support.
