Dear Arts Advocates:

Today hundreds of dedicated arts supporters from all 62 counties of New York State will join us for Arts Day in Albany. They will be visiting our elected officials to advocate for an increase of $2 Million to the New York State Council on the Arts and to encourage passage of the Cultural Development Areas Bill this legislative session.

Even if you’re not able to join us for Arts Day in Albany, you can still ask your Senators and Assemblymen/woman to support our requests. Use our online advocacy center. By simply entering your zip code you’ll be able to send a message directly to your elected officials telling them why the arts are important to you. You can write your own unique story to illustrate the importance of the arts to your community. We urge you to send your message to The State Legislature today to coincide with our visits in Albany.
