THE NEW YORK STATE MUSIC FUND

This is a new and wonderful funding opportunity available to organizations who present contemporary music of all genres for residents of New York State. The fund is administered by Rockefeller Philanthrophy Advisors (RPA) and is particularly interested in a statewide reach and impact. The Alliance is helping RPA get the word out about this new funding resource. Extensive information about the program has been distributed via the Rurals list serve and in our monthly Members Memo. For full information on the program, eligibility, criteria and how to apply, go to the RPA website at: www.rockpa.org/music.

We encourage you to explore this opportunity for your organization and pass the information on to your neighboring and constituent organizations, including community schools, festivals, public radio stations, and libraries ---any 501(c)(3) that helps create or present work by contemporary musicians.

RPA is holding information sessions about the New York State Music Fund in Utica on February 16th and in New York City on March 3d. If you are interested and would like to attend one of these sessions, check out the times, location and RSVP information here: http://www.rockpa.org/music/information.
